Meet November’s Sustainability Face: Dr. Marilena Antoniadou
Dr. Marilena Antoniadou, an academic dedicated to sustainability in every aspect of her life, joins us this month as a passionate advocate for responsible leadership and environmental responsibility. She seamlessly integrates sustainable values into her work and personal choices, making a lasting impact on students, colleagues, and the wider community.
In her professional life, Dr. Antoniadou’s research explores greenwashing and the influence of CSR initiatives on business students’ perceptions as future managers, aiming to inspire responsible leadership. Her commitment shines through her years at Manchester Metropolitan Business School, where she organized and hosted an annual conference on sustainability spotlighting sustainable practices and environmental responsibility with prominent industry speakers.
Beyond academia, Dr. Antoniadou actively participates in sustainability initiatives and encourages students to embrace carbon literacy, promoting a responsible approach to business and the environment. On a personal level, she is committed to reducing waste, minimizing energy consumption, supporting ethical brands, and choosing eco-friendly products.
“My goal is to continue raising awareness and inspiring both students and colleagues to integrate sustainability into their daily decisions,” says Dr. Antoniadou.
