We are thrilled to announce that the Deree Women’s Volleyball Team has officially secured promotion to the B’ National Division, following a series of thrilling playoff victories that showcased the team’s resilience, talent, and extraordinary determination.
The road to this incredible achievement was anything but easy. After finishing 4th in the regular season, our team entered the playoffs as underdogs—but with heart, discipline, and the unshakable support of the Deree community, they rose to the occasion.
In the first playoff stage, Deree faced PAK Chalandriou in a best-of-five series, clinching a dramatic 3-2 series win. In the second and final stage, our team battled AO Kareas, winning the series 3-1 and sealing their promotion to the national level.
The decisive match was played away, in a packed and electric arena, filled with energy, horns, drums, and more than 100 Deree students and parents cheering passionately from the stands. Their support powered our players to deliver one of the most inspiring performances in the program’s history.
This promotion marks a significant milestone for Deree Athletics—especially considering that this was a new team with a largely renewed roster, as is typical in college sports, but rare in federation-sponsored competitions, where teams are usually composed of seasoned, semi-professional athletes. And yet, with the same coaching staff and unwavering commitment, we’ve once again reached elite-level competition. It’s a true testament to the resilience and quality of our program.
Even more rewarding is the fact that four of our key players began their volleyball journey in the Deree Volleyball Academy. Today, they are not only outstanding athletes but also Deree students, completing a beautiful circle of growth and achievement within our community.
