Nikiforos T. Laopodis

MA in Economics, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki; MA in Economics, Morgan State University, MD; PhD, The Catholic University of America, DC.

Dr. Laopodis has been a member of the School of Business and Economics’ Finance department since 2015. Prior to that, he was a faculty member at Fairfield University, CT, USA. He has been teaching finance courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (at ALBA). He has served on a number of committees and was the finance minor coordinator.

His areas of research are investments and financial econometrics and is widely published in both economics and finance journals. He has published a textbook in investments, titled “Understanding Investments: Theories and Strategies”, Taylor & Francis (Routledge), 2013, 2020, and one in financial economics, titled “Financial Economics and Econometrics”, Taylor & Francis (Routledge, 2021).
