Once again, ACG students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, partners, and friends came together, driven by a shared spirit of community service, to participate in the ACG Fall Blood Drive.
Held over three days focused on community care and safety – from October 22 to 24, 2024 – the drive welcomed volunteers who donated blood to support the needs of NIMTS and Aretaio Hospitals.
In collaboration with the Hellenic Red Cross, the event also raised awareness about the importance of bone marrow donation, offering volunteers the chance to see if they might be potential matches. Participants additionally had the opportunity to learn essential first-aid techniques for both humans and animals, as demonstrated by the Hellenic Red Cross.
In total, 160 volunteers donated urgently needed blood, and 124 bone marrow samples were collected.
This impactful initiative was organized by ACG Health & Wellness, the Office of Sustainability-Public Affairs, and the Office of Student Affairs, with support from student volunteers, including the ACG Sustainability Leaders and the Deree Student Association (DSA).
As a service-focused institution, ACG is proud to witness the enduring commitment of our community to teamwork and public service.
