Ioannis Gkotsis, a parallel NTUA student in the Entrepreneurship Management major at Deree, won the 1st place in the GREENTECH challenge, that took place on December 13.
With two other NTUA students (Christos Efthimiadis and Afrodite Dragona), they created a force team that came up with the startup idea: their business venture refers to the collection, processing and exporting cigarette buts, that have been thrown on the beaches of Attica region. They called their startup “Buttless”.
“Throughout the process of the idea and the business plan creation, I made 100% use of everything that I was taught in the courses of the Entrepreneurship Management major at Deree.”, and continues “We are already preparing to participate in the Reload Greece competition that takes place, every May, in London, in order to evolve our idea, and find the necessary funding.”
The team won the first prize in the “Innovation idea” part of the competition.
