Deree students may qualify for private scholarships funded by generous donors to the College (endowed and expendable scholarships) as well as from the College’s own resources (College scholarships).
Eligibility for these scholarships is based on donor-specific criteria (e.g. geographical origin, academic interest and/or performance, co-curricular activities, etc.) and other criteria set by the College. Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the College and the Financial Assistance and Planning Office. Students who meet the eligibility requirements of a particular fund are not automatically entitled to a scholarship. EXPENDABLE SCHOLARSHIPS

Open to a continuing Deree degree-seeking student pursuing a minor in “Financial Markets Trading” and an entering Deree minor-seeking student pursuing a minor in “Financial Markets Trading”.
Intent of the Award
The “Eurobank Equities Expendable Scholarship”, was established in 2020 by Eurobank Equities Investment Firm Single Member Societe Anonyme to provide support to two Deree students, one degree-seeking and one minor-seeking student, both pursuing a minor degree in “Financial Markets Trading”, considering their academic performance and financial need.
Extent of the Award
The “Eurobank Equities Expendable Scholarship” provides for partial tuition coverage for a maximum period of three years depending on the students’ course load within which the scholars need to complete their minor in “Financial Markets Trading”.
Eligibility Requirements
For Continuing Degree-seeking Student(s):
- Have a minimum Cumulative Index-CI (Career Totals GPA) of 3.00.
- Be pursuing a minor in “Financial Markets Trading”.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Comply with all College policies including the “Student Conduct Code”.

Renewal of the award to the same recipient is possible as long as the requirements are met and there is a sufficient balance.

The American College of Greece has benefited from the N. Demos Foundation’s philanthropy for over 20 years.

The N. Demos Foundation Scholarship provides 100% tuition reduction and is given for one academic year to a matriculated student at the College. The Student Life Scholarship is given for one academic year to a matriculated student at the College. Renewal of the award to the same recipient is possible as long as he/she continues to meet the eligibility requirements and there is a sufficient balance. Additional funds may be available to be awarded based on funds received during the previous fiscal year in support of the fund.

- have participated in the Music Society’s activities and regularly attended Music Department events, taking interest in the work of others and having a positive impact on the musical community

The Frances Rich Theater Arts Scholarship is given for one academic year to students majoring in Theater Arts. Renewal of the award to the same recipient is possible as long as he/she continues to meet the eligibility requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
In order to be considered for a Frances Rich Theater Arts scholarship a student must:

- meet all requirements for admission to the College
- have completed his/her secondary education at a lyceum with a high school grade of 17 and above (or equivalent)
- present evidence of involvement in Theater Arts
To continue receiving the award, the recipient must register for at least 3 courses (9 credit hours or more) per continuous semesters and achieve a Cumulative Index (CI) of 3.3 or better by the end of the first semester of study. This CI (or higher) must be maintained while receiving the award, the duration of which may not exceed one academic year with the possibility of renewal (unless otherwise specified). In addition, the recipient must be in compliance with all College policies including the Student Conduct Code.
For Continuing Degree-seeking Students:
- have earned at least 18 credits
- have a minimum CI of 3.3
- demonstrate good progress in the acquisition of theater performance and critical skills
- be in compliance with all College policies including the Student Conduct Code
To continue receiving the award, the recipient must register for at least 3 courses (9 credits or more) per continuous semesters and maintain a CI of 3.3 or better. This CI (or higher) must be maintained while receiving the award, the duration of which may not exceed one academic year with the possibility of renewal (unless otherwise specified).

Sound Mind & Sound Body
Athletic scholarships covering 20% of tuition fees are currently awarded to promising athletes in the following sports:
- Women’s Volleyball
- Men’s Basketball
- Women’s Basketball
- Men’s Soccer
This percentage can be added to any other scholarship the applicant qualifies for, provided that certain criteria are met.
Intent of the Awards
These scholarships offer gifted student-athletes the opportunity to participate in a highly developed sports program while simultaneously receiving a high-quality college education.
Extent of the Awards
Athletic scholarships are granted for one (1) academic year, and may be cancelled at any time if a student ceases to fulfill one or more of the aforementioned requirements. At the end of the academic year, the athletic scholarships are subject to renewal following the same procedure.
Student-athletes who are selected for athletic scholarships participate in a comprehensive athletic program under the guidance of experienced coaches with a successful track record of nurturing young talent. Practice sessions are held at Deree’s outstanding athletic facilities, which include:
- One (1) game court and two (2) indoor basketball/volleyball courts
- an Olympic-sized swimming pool
- a soccer field surfaced with synthetic turf and organic, environmentally friendly cork infill
- a six (6) lane track with tartan
- four (4) tennis courts
- outdoor basketball and volleyball courts
- a Fitness Center with state-of-the-art equipment
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates for athletic scholarships must:
- meet all requirements for admission to the college (for entering students)
- be evaluated by a college committee, which will assess their athletic skills and their potential for further development
- be eligible to play for the Deree teams
- attend all practices, games, tournaments and events of their team
- achieve a minimum cumulative index (CI) of 2.00 by the end of their first semester at Deree and maintain this CI while receiving the scholarship (for entering students)
- maintain a CI of 2.0 while receiving the scholarship (for continuing students)
- maintain a satisfactory disciplinary record
