The DEREE Student Choir will participate in a traditional singalong Charity Benefit performance of Handel's "Messiah" at St. Paul's Anglican Church (Fillelinon St. & Amalias Av.) on December 16, at 8 pm. Participation is 5 Euros and includes a glass of wine after the performance.

Prominent speakers participated in the two-day conference on "The European Financial Crisis and Developments in the East European Countries". Among them, Professor Vasilis Rapanos, Ms. Miranda Xafa, Professor Gikas Hardouvelis & the former Minister of Family and Population of Egypt Ms. Moushira Khattab. The conference was organized by the Institute of Diplomacy & Global Affairs @ the DEREE Graduate School and the European Alumni of the Woodrow Wilson Center.

Organized by the Accounting & Finance Department, the discussion on "Euro or Drachma? The Future of the Greek Economy" managed to clarify complicated financial terms which have become a part of our everyday life.
Τhis past summer ACG launched its first International Tourism and Hospitality Management (ITHM) internship for credit and the results were very encouraging as two students gained hands-on experience by working at the Aldemar Paradise Mare All-inclusive Hotel in Rhodes.

"If you stop, nothing can stop you" – so says the European Commission's campaign against smoking and the soccer game held on October 5 at DEREE's stadium definitely proved it right! The friendly match between a team of DEREE students and a team of anti-smoking ambassadors spread the message for a life without tobacco and was enjoyed both by players and spectators. Over 200 MSc and MBA degrees were awarded at the 2012 ALBA Graduation Ceremony which was held at ACG's PIERCE Theatre on October 11. This year's keynote speaker was Aristos Doxiadis, Economist and Venture Capital Professional, who offered a short list of business tips for this time of crisis and change. Read more.
The second series of modules on Pharmaceutical Medicine will commence on November 30. Organized by the Professional Studies of DEREE Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE), the modules will be delivered by prominent speakers from the National Organization for Medicines (EOF), the European Medicines Agency, academics, experienced medical directors, etc. Read more.

Recipient of the first Vision Award, Rosina Ivanova, recent graduate of the Visual Arts Program of the DEREE School of Fine and Performing Arts, presented "Border House", her first solo exhibition in the Arts Center Gallery at DEREE, and is currently pursuing her MFA at the TransArt Institute in Berlin and New York City.
