An impressive 94% of this year's graduates of PIERCE - The American College of Greece succeeded in gaining admission to Greece's public universities and technical colleges according to figures published by the Ministry of Education on August 27. Of these, 88% achieved admission to AEIs and 12% to TEIs. - 60% were admitted to schools in Attica and 35% to Medical, Engineering and Law schools.
ACG has always been an institution sensitive to promising students in need of financial assistance. Nowadays this quality is of major importance and ACG lives up to its values and tradition: For this academic year, over 300,000 Euros has been awarded in need-based scholarships and financial assistance to PIERCE students, representing a 100% increase from last year. As already communicated, an additional 1.7M Euros will be given as financial aid to DEREE students.
Students get a head start on their bachelor degree by taking advantage of The Fall Intensive, an accelerated eight-week term which begins on October 15. This is only one of the programs designed to meet students' needs for a high quality and well-rounded education. As an ACG alumnus, draw from your personal experience and urge prospective students to learn more about the academic programs and the DEREE advantage.
It is an honor for Effie Halivopoulou, Head of DEREE Visual Arts Department, and ACG that her work "Liquid Network" was chosen to participate in the exhibition OPEN in Lido, Venice. This international exhibition of sculptures and installations takes place parallel to the 69th Venice Film Festival and the Architecture Biennale creating a unique cultural platform.
